Washington DC
These are some of the photos I took while visiting my friend in DC back in late September. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

This past May (yeah, I’m just now getting to these photos. I work 65 hours a week and to be honest, I couldn’t find these shots. Whatever, get off my back.), I was asked to take some photos of the big race for Girls On The Run (gotrcharlotte.org) here in Charlotte, NC by one of the volunteers from the church I’m a part of (watershedcharlotte.com). I was honored to be asked both from a photographer’s standpoint and as a fellow Watershedder. For the few moments I got to spend with these young ladies, I found out how absolutely amazing they are. They were so grateful to have such great mentors investing in their lives. Here are the photos. Enjoy.
Over this past Fourth of July weekend I was able to make the trip from Charlotte, NC to Erie, PA which is where I’m from. Here are some of the photos I shoot while up there.
I grabbed my camera at the last second as I walked out the door headed for Taste of Charlotte on June 11th. Glad I did, here are the shots from that day. Please, feel free to comment and make suggestions about my photos or the stories and titles of them.

This guy was making balloon animals for the kids in the crowd while standing on stilts. I wish I could do either of those skills.

Please, don't let the title fool you. I'm sure that is not what this guy is thinking. It was quite hot that day and it appears they were both taking a break on a bench in the shade.

I noticed these two people talking and the one playing with her hair and couldn't resist capturing the moment.

This is obviously a statue so it can't really be considered street photography, but I thought it would make for a great shot.

I noticed this woman texting away and couldn't help notice the advertisment for Taste of Charlotte in her arm.

This is one of the very few photos I've ever cropped. The little girl who's arm you can see in the right hand corner was being blocked by someone's hand.

This little girl caught my eye for two reasons: She seemed a bit to big to still be riding in a stroller & she looked bored as heck the whole time I noticed her.

This guy was dancing every where and with every one. He wasn't doing it for money, he was doing it because he loves to dance.
Recently a friend of mine asked me to shoot the last basketball game that the Right Moves For Youth kids were playing this year. I jumped at the chance not only because I don’t get many opportunities to shoot sports up close, but also because I wanted to help out a friend and help make these kids feel like stars. At the beginning of the shoot, they did what all kids do, they played to and looked at the camera and wanted to see the photos as soon as they were taken. Eventually, they forgot about the camera (for the most part) and just played their game. In case you were wondering, they lost.
This is a photo of my wife’s niece Kendyll. She was standing pretty much on my toes so I was basically looking straight down on her. I used the pop up flash that was built into the camera. It did a great job of over exposing her just enough to make everything else seem black but with a bit of detail in the carpeting. A group of us went to visit my wife’s grandmother shortly after she was put into a nursing home and as kids are kids, they were running and playing all over the place. As usual, I had my camera with me and decided it would make for a good distraction for the three girls. They loved having their photos taken and even more so being able to immediately see their photos. I even let them take a few photos of each other. They were distracted for hours.
